Power punches!? You wanna talk about power punches!? There were no knockdowns, but clearly Malignaggi executed much much more strength, especially during the last rounds of the fight.

I don't like his attitude and he obviously had one pretty darn awful interview,

Are you kidding me? I *****in loved it. It shows how much power the guy has. Even after 12 rounds, he still has only one cut and alot of energy. So much for Diaz's power punches. Diaz probably had to be rushed to the hospital while Paulie stood up for what was right. And he is right, boxing is full of *****. When a guy gets robbed of a well deserved victory. ***** at least he backs it up, he backs up his attitude AND his reason for the trash talk. And he's right, he won that fight. Paulie won the fight, but Diaz won the match.

If anything the only round Diaz won was the 1st.

I respect the guy even more now. But that's what happens when you fight a Texan in Texas or a German in Germany.

What does boxing have to do, in order to get it's vintage respect back. Although boxing is all about money now so it won't happen.

-Much less corrupt judges
-1 belt per weight class

Oh ho!

There is some (potentially) good fights coming this weekend people. There is a rematch between Heavyweights Rogan and Sexton which is tonite (Fri Nov 6th) in england i believe.
Rogan was unfairly stopped by the referee on account of his right eye being completely closed and unable to avoid punches but seemed to be the fighter in with a chance of winning. Nearly Ko'ing his opponent in one ofthe earlier rounds but held back due to not wanting to seriously harm his opponent and through lack of experience (Sexton was wobbled but still on his feet but his eyes where glazed over, i think the ref was involved somehow or lack of refereeing).
So Rogan will/ shold be going for blood this time knowing he had his opponent on the ropes last time round and being robbed.

Tomorrow on Saturday (Sat Nov 7th) David Haye, 6'5'', 16 stone takes on the giant Beast from the East, 7'2'' 23 stone, Nikolai Valuev with Haye bening the trash talker in only his 4th Heavy weight fight, already he is going for a title shot in which many deem as being unfair. But Haye was an undefeated Cruiserweight with multiple titles and stopped his last opponent at heavyweight.
Will Haye do the impossible (so far) and KO or at least get a referee stoppage of the giant Valuev or is he biting more than he can chew?

I don't see Valuev loosing or even falling to the ground lmao. He is a tree stumped to the ground. Unless you get an axe he's not falling down. Although his technical skills SUCK, so he will loose by decision.

Alritey people!!

We have the big one coming tomorrow, Saturday 14th Nov. Between two ring legends and the best pound for pound boxers in the sport today.

Manny Pacquio versus Miguel Cotto

Manny is coming from an impressive past four wins over some amazing boxers in the past year or so.
The first, Manuel Marquez in their rematch at Super Feather, controversial win decision but a great fight for the title.
Straight after steps up in weight an he fights David Diaz at Lightweight and impressively knocks him out in round 8/9 with a left cross on the chin, previously dominating him, turning the bigger mans face into a kebab.
Then he steps up another two weight classes to Welterweight to take on recent legend Oscar DeLa Hoya. Forcing the man to stop with his superior speed and punching power in the later rounds. still hungry he knocks out and destroys Ricky Hatton, easily in round two, having knocked down the Mancurian warrior twice in the first round.

World Titles at 6 different weight classes, going for his 7th. Fighting above his normal weight class, he has impressive speed and stamina. A rare come forward, straight punching boxer.

Miguel Cotto took his first loss lost after taking a knee, twice and loosing in the 11th round, to the Tijuana Tornado, and my one time hero, Antonio Margarito in a controversial fight in which foul play could have been afoot with Margaritos wraps possibly covered in plaster that would have hardened his fists, making them like rock. Margarito may have cheated but it was still Cotto who took a knee and chose to give up.
He came back though and stopped british boxer Jennings in only round 5.
His last fight was against pressure fighter Joshua Clottey, of which he won by decision, nearly putting Clottey down in round two. Cotto won the fight with an impressive display of heart after suffering a very severe cut over his right eye in the 3rd round, he fought with his vision hampered against a hard puncher for 12 rounds and won.

Cotto is naturally bigger, stronger man, has won World Titles at 2 different weight classes. Has an amazing left hook, great body puncher and is a clever fighter with a clinical accuracy and brutal style.

How do you see the fight turning out? Who would you like to see win an why?

Righty oh people. Update.

Manny Pacqiou stops Miguel Cotto in the 12th round (referee stepped in though) after Cotto was being dominated and crushed for better part of the fight, especially of last four rounds (people said it should have stopped in the 8th, Cotto still kept fighting though wanting to elimate the ghost of his taking a knee to Margarito in 11tth last time he lost).
Also Manny had Cotto down in rounds 3 and 4.
Simply amazing.

Amir Khan stops Dmitri Salita in only round 1 after 75 seconds, scoring 3 impressive knockdowns of the previously undefeated number 1 challenger (31 fights unbeaten). Khan defended his light-welterweight title successfully for the first time.

The BIG fight to determine the best pound for pound fighter of all time between Manny Pacqiou and Floyd Mayweather Jnr was going to happen on March 13th, 2010.
But after Mayweather accused Manny of taking performance enhancing drugs and insisting he take drug tests at Olympic standards the fight has been called off. Manny was happy to take the tests but things went too far.
Manny is now filing a lawsuit against Mayweather and De La Hoya for the accusation and harming his reputation with NO evidence at all to support these claims.

real shame this fight isnt going to happen for these reasons.
Now manny may step upto light-middle weight to claim a potential 8th world title at a bigger weight. He may face Yuri Foreman, jewish man who is also studying to be a Rabi. Foreman is undefeated in 28 fights with 8 wins by way of KO and is current Light middle champ.

Its not the fight people want to see but meh it happens. Pacqiou will still make history.

Woah there Esse chill out man. Chill buddy.

Whats making you think Manny is a paper champion? Curious on your reasoning and what you think of therefor think of Mayweathers skills/ rep.
Why dont you think stepping up to face Yuri Foreman at light middle is worthy considering it will be beyond Mannys expected size limit to compete in (after facing Diaz he said he may only go as high as Light-welter but has gone onto Welter!!)??

Of all the men Manny has beat on his record Miguel Cotto was the most impressive by far, only problem being is that he fought a man whos spirit may have been weakened after taking a loss to Margarito in the fashion that he did.

The one thing i dont get about Manny is why he doesnt just do the test, pass it and then take on Mayweather.
I understand that it makes him look like a fraud and tarnishes his name but if there really is no problem then he should just get it over with.

Ive heard that supposedly a similiar situation happened when De La Hoya fought Shane Mosley, during the period when Mosley was on performance enhancing drugs. De La Hoya still beat the man though.

In saying these things Manny Pacqiou and Floyd Mayweather are meeting to arrange to get things resolved (ie both fighters take tests and make purse arrangements) and make the fight a go.
Remember it was Manny who called out Mayweather, it was Mayweather who made the accusations. Which in a way i can understand because Manny has stepped up 3/4 four weight classes in only a short time and even when he was caught by Cottos devastating left hand on the odd occasion he shrugged in off like an insect bite.

I really do hope personally that Manny and Floyd both sit the tests, both pass with ease and the fight can be arranged by the mid year of 2010.
If this goes down it may be the best or worst fight in history depending on mentality and abilities. Floyd is a runner with brilliant defensive skills with awesome hand speed and is cool under pressure. Manny is a come forward, rapid punching, hard to hit, juggernaut with an impressive CV to date with his last 5 fights.

Update people.

Manny Pacqiou and Floyd Mayweather Jnr is off... for the moment, maybe they will fight later but right now it is off for sure.
It is a fight that has to happen, however that it is if they can defeat their new chosen opponents.

Mannyy Pacqiou goes on to fight Joshua Clottey in March.
Not too sure about this fight in terms of how worthwhile it is but it was said that if Clottey had been more hungry he could have beat Miguel Cotto but didnt go for the kill. A potentially dangerous opponent for Pacqiuo based on his larger size and pressure fighting.

Floyd Mayweather goes on to fight 'Sugar' Shane Mosley in May.
The current Welterwieght champion who defeated Antonio Margarito last year by KO in round 9/10. This will be an awesome fight and could be Floyds biggest test of his career. Mosley has wanted this fight for ages and many felt he was being avoided after his destruction of Margarito; he couldnt get a fight for a year afterwards.
The man is in top form and is on size with Mayweather and is just as fast.

These fights are done deals so unless the boxers have an injury or family upset of some sort they will go ahead. Really excited about these bouts.
